On June 1, 2022, the 4th "Belt and Road" and "BRICS" Advanced Photonics forum was successfully held in Room 109, Building 1A, International Campus, Zhejiang University. The forum was co-organized by College of Optical Science and Engineering (COSE), and State Key Laboratory of Modern Optical Instrumentation, and International Research Center for Advanced Photonics (IRCAP). More than 3,000 scholars, including experts and students, participated online. Totally,11 senior experts were invited to attend this event and give keynote talks. In-depth idea exchanges and discussions were carried out on the frontier research topics such as integrated photonics, novel glass ceramics, metasurface encoder, and so on.

The opening ceremony was presided by Prof. Dai Daoxin, Dean of the College of Optical Science and Engineering (COSE), Zhejiang University. Prof. Dai briefly introduced the recent development of COSE on scientific research, international cooperation and the destiny of this forum. Prof. Shi Yaocheng, Vice Dean of COSE gave the closing remarks and thanked all the experts and online audience for their active participation and expressed the best wishes for futural collaborations.

"Belt and Road" & "BRICS" Forum for Advanced Photonics was initiated in 2019 by College of Optical Science and Engineering (COSE), Zhejiang University (ZJU), China. It is aimed to provide a high-level platform for researchers and scholars to communicate new ideas and latest research results in the field of photonics or related. This event is particularly devoted to promoting cooperation and exchange among researchers from "B&R" and "BRICS" countries. Currently, all the participants are invited to attend this event from individual countries who have already made important contributions in the field of advanced photonics.
