International Workshop on remotely dectecting superthin clouds and dusts

International Workshop on remotely dectecting superthin clouds and dusts was successfully held in Hangzhou Sheraton Hotel from June 24th to 26th, 2019. The workshop was organized by the College of Optical Science and Engineering, Zhejiang University. This workshop attracted 29 participants from relevant universities and scientific research institutions in China and the United States to gather in Hangzhou to share the research progress and development plan of ultra-thin cloud and dust remote sensing detection, and discuss ultra-thin cloud and active and passive dust star-ground detection. This workshop aims to discuss the development of ultra-thin cloud and dust star-to-ground detection, active and passive remote sensing technology, and to provide a broad and in-depth exchange platform for experts and scholars engaged in research in related fields at home and abroad to promote the development in ultra-thin clouds and dust. This workshop includes four topics: dust-cloud-radiative forcing interaction observation and numerical simulation evaluation, spaceborne and ground-based remote sensing technology for ultra-thin cloud and dust detection, active and passive remote sensing technology for ultra-thin cloud and dust, and the impact and correction of quantitative remote sensing.
