West-lake Photonics Symposium was held at Hangzhou International Expo Center on 20, October. The symposium was hosted by the College of Optical Science and Engineering, Zhejiang University, the State Key Laboratory of Modern Optical Instrumentation, and the Joint International Research Laboratory of Photonics. Over 80 people, including Scott Carney, director of the Institute of Optics, University of Rochester, Xi-cheng Zhang, leader of Terahertz Science Research, University of Rochester, attended the symposium with 5 topics, which are Metasurfaces, Light capture and light manipulation, Super-resolution imaging, Microcavities, Ocean and atmospheric optics.
