The Second “Belt and Road & BRICS” International Advanced Photonics Forum was successfully held


On December 11, 2020, the second “Belt and Road & BRICS” international advanced photonics forum was successfully held in Ziwei hall of Yuanzheng Hotel, Haining Campus, Zhejiang University. More than 9 experts from Brazil, India, Pakistan, Singapore, Italy, Spain and China and around 30 young teachers and students from College of Optical Science and Engineering of Zhejiang University, gathered together to discuss advanced photonics development. The forum was sponsored by the College of Optical Science and Engineering of Zhejiang University and co-organized by International Research Center for Advanced Photonics and Joint International Research Laboratory of Photonics (JIRLOP) and the International Research Center for Optoelectronics TechnologyMinistry of Science and Technology. The forum aims to promote countries in the “Belt and Road & BRICS” to consolidate consensus in the field of advanced photonics and continuously deepen exchanges and cooperation in scientific research and talent training.

 

At last, Professor Dai made a concluding speech. He expressed it is not easy to organize the academic forum during the epidemic, gave thanks for the guests for their active participation and the organizing committee and volunteers for their hard work, affirming the exchange results achieved in this forum. He was looking forward all parties take this as an opportunity to deepen cooperation in advanced photonics scientific research and talent training, and work together to create a better future.
